Hi I'm Jantzen

My name is Jantzen, I am 19, I am currently serving a mission in Birmingham England. I'm a Mormon

About Me

So a little bit about myself. My name is Jantzen Kinsley, I am 19 years old, and I currently live in Draper Utah. My interest include water skiing, snowboarding, and video games. I have lived here in Draper for almost 2 years and I have certainly moved around a lot. I have lived in Utah, Maryland, Indiana, Idaho, and Utah again in the span of my life. I wouldn't say that I had a testimony till I was 16 years old. I gained my testimony over the course of my junior year. I have spent the last year of my life just working and saving money. I had been working on my papers for a long time. So I was exited upon getting my call to the Birmingham England mission. I normally don't talk about myself too much but I am as prepared as I could be, and I can say that to myself honestly. I love my family very much and am so happy that I have gotten to spend the last few months getting to know them better. I look forward to entering the mission field.

Why I am a Mormon

The answer to this is really simple actually. I am a Mormon because it is the only true church on the earth. What sets us apart from other religions is the Book of Mormon. It is true doctrine of god that was translated by Joseph Smith. I love the teachings of this church. People look at them and say that they are too strict. But they are guidelines set by God for no other reason other than for our own protection. They are amazing guidelines by which you can live life. I am genuinely looking forward to the opportunity to go out and try to share this message with other people. I know that there will be hard times, nobody said it was easy after all, but I truly love this church. I have my whole life built around it and I believe that if necessary I would die for it. Hopefully that is an extreme which shall never come to pass. But I truly am exited to go out and move into the next step of my life.

How I live my faith

I can proudly say that I do live by all of the standards of the Church and can tell others that I live what I preach. I have a calling as a Bishops Storehouse cleaner. Every Thursday night me and my family will drive over to the Bishops storehouse to do a deep cleaning. The work that is done there is commonly done by volunteering from different wards. I have actually gone over to do volunteer work in these storehouses in the past as well. I think an interesting thing is that because there are so many people that have this calling, We will go over and there will commonly be different families there that we have never met before. It has been interesting getting to know some of them better. In the past I have also done different volunteer work for the church, like going over and doing yard work for a library in a mountain town before we went up to Helaman's camp. With several hundred youth there to help, within a matter of hours we had completely transformed the grounds of this old library. I have also done different trips over to the granaries of the church, doing different tasks throughout. What I really love about it was that all of these things are accomplished just through volunteer work, helping others out of kindness. I think that is a good way to live what you preach. And you always feel good after doing these things, that's why I enjoy them so much.
