Hi I'm Sarah

I enjoy competitive swimming. I attend Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in Utah and have fallen in love with the beautiful mountains that surround me and can't find any better way to spend my time that being in the great out doors. I have tried almost every sport I could get my hands on, but couldn't find anything better than being in the water so I became a competitive swimmer. There are very few things that can beat being in the water. I am currently a college student at Brigham Young University and plan to finish my schooling after I serve my mission in North Carolina Raleigh.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the love and hope it brings me. I have experienced personally strength that we can receive from choosing to make Jesus Christ apart of our daily lives. He is the one who can understand our every pain and can forgive us of our every mistake. I am a Mormon because of the hope that each day I can try again and as long as I continue to try that someday I will be with my family for all eternity in the presence of our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I have found the best way for me to live my faith is by sharing my talents of music. I love organizing small groups to sing a spiritual and inspirational song in a ward meeting, or by going to my neighbors homes. I have also found ways to serve my friend, neighbors and community and value the love and happiness you feel after serving. Soon, I will also be living my faith by serving an 18 month mission where I can share the joy that this gospel has brought me.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Sarah
We believe that man was created in the image of God. We have a body of flesh a bones that our Father in Heaven made just for us. Because we were created by our God, and all things that our father makes is holy and blessed, we are all like a temple. We believe that our temples are a Holy House of The Lord, that is to say that it is our Heavenly Fathers house. Now, think of your own home. You wouldn't want someone to write graffiti on it, or tare holes all over it, or poor a poisonous liquid all over. We sure would not want that to happen to our Gods house, and we were the ones who built it. So would we really want to destroy our bodies, which is a home for our spirits, that our Heavenly Father made? No. That is why we believe in taking care of our bodies and obeying the Word of Wisdom.
