Hi I'm Janet

I live in Payson, Utah. I didn't get married until I was 35, but now have three beautiful daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college gratuate with degrees in secretarial skills, fashion merchandising, and education. I love music and sing, play the violin, piano, and guitar. I also like textile skills such as sewing, embroidery, and quilting. I'm a mother of three and the youngest of six with five older brothers. I served a mission to Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the feeling I get as I following the commandments of God. There is a peace that righteous living brings to your soul. My testimony of the gospel has always been there, mostly because it has always felt right to me. This testimony has grown as I've studied, read the scriptures, served in the church, helped those in need, and testified of the gospel. My life is not perfect and I have experienced my share of challenges, disappointments, and hardships, but the gospel has been the constant support that has got me through those difficult times. I know the Lord lives and that he loves me just as he loves every individual on the earth. I feel very blessed to have that knowledge and to know that I am working towards an eternity that will be much better than the best day here on earth.

How I live my faith

I teach the 14 and 15 year old class during Sunday School. You'd think that would be a difficult group, we have some terrific kids in our ward. They know a lot about the gospel and have some great insight into how to live the gospel each day. I use to teach singing to the children age 3-12. I loved this calling! The songs teach so well about the gospel, what we believe, and how we can live the teachings of the Savior in a simple, easy-to-understand way. I also get to visit three ladies each month and connect with them in their lives and teach a brief message about Christ. Even though these ladies are going through very different challenges in their lives, it is so great to share together our thoughts on how we can each other and rely on the Lord to make up the difference we feel we lack.
