Hi I'm Emma

I grew up in Utah. I am a student and future missionary. I love to laugh and I love to eat chicken nuggets. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love many things! I love music. I enjoy singing, playing the ukulele, dancing (around the kitchen) and listening to music. I also love to play and watch sports. I have recently learned how to play raquetball and handball. I love to cook and eat. One of my most favorite things to eat are chicken nuggets. I have 7 siblings and I love to hang out with them. I could probably live in Disneyland. I appreciate God's beautiful creations and love spending time at lakes. I am in college right now but will soon leave on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I have lived hearing the gospel teachings my whole life. However, there was a point when I didn't know if it was true. I was 13 or 14 years old and I told my mom I just didn't really believe it. She wasn't mad. She wanted me to find out for myself. She told me to keep living the way God wanted me to live, and that a testimony would come. It took some faith, but I decided to follow the counsel my mom had given me. I kept going to church and really tried to participate in the youth programs. Little by little, my testimony began to grow. I then realized that probably the whole time I knew the gospel was true. I just had to let it grow within me. Every since then I haven't really had a doubt. There have been hard times but the gospel is the one thing that always gets me through. Something that I have a huge testimony of is prayer. I so strongly rely on prayer because I know my heavenly father is always listening. He wants to help and he always answers my prayers, though usually not in the way I expect. I know my family can be together forever which is a very comforting thought for me. I know I have a loving Savior, Jesus Christ who suffered for not only my sins but my temptations, weaknesses, and pain. When I am trying my best to live the gospel, I always find myself to be happier and feel God's love and joy. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I love feeling and being uplifted by the spirit. I try to put myself in situations where I can do so. Some of the places I feel the spirit most strongly are the temple and Sabbath day meetings. I try to go to the temple once a week and every time I leave I feel ready to take on the next week. One of my favorite callings I have had in the church was teaching the 3 and 4 year olds. They helped me feel so loved. I love to serve others because I always feel like I get more out of it.
