Hi I'm Shai

"True happinees comes only by making others happy~practical application of the Savior's doctrine of losing one's life to gain it."

About Me

I am currently attending a University and I am majoring in psychology and preparing to go into medical school. I love social and behavioral sciences, the cardiovascular system, my family, and children! I also love hanging out with my friends, movie/kareoke nights with my family, and outdoor recreational activities! I belong to a beautiful family of six--I'm the oldest of four children. My siblings are the most charismatic and funny children to roam this world. I will be serving the Lord for 18 months and I can't wait to share this amazing gospel that has made my life the most happiest it can be!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it truly gives genuine happiness to each and every one of its members. This church is a church of order, justice, mercy, and hope. To have hope every day when there are conflicting events in our daily lives, has truly helped me be determined to continue righteously on this straight and narrow path. This church offers support (emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically) and it has also given me a purpose to live. I have always loved living on this earth, but every time I go through a tough obstacle and distance myself from scripture reading or prayer, I sometimes forget that the church is happiness on this earth. Every single advice given by an authority in the church has led me to choose the right options that have opened doors to various opportunities. This world is filled with confusion, especially in my cohort (modern day youth). Many of the youth that I see now a days have no goals and they are lost with themselves and they try to look for who they "really are". I know who I am because I was given an identity before I came to this earth and through the gospel I have found it and embrace it every day and try to develop ways to become a better me. I am a young women who was given a diving calling to be a light to the nations and replenish the earth. With that mindset, I have created academic goals, personal goals, and I have established healthy relationships with others. I know that this church is true and I know that the teaching that we are being taught, by latter day prophets, are true and come from revalation by our Heavenly Father and Jesus the Christ. I love being Mormon and I can't wait to bring others unto Christ!

How I live my faith

I am currently just a student in all of my sunday classes but I love hearing what the teachers teach every week. There truly is an inspiration given to the bishop when he gives a calling to someone~every teacher I've had has taught me so much about doctrines and how to make them applicable to my life. I am part of the Young Womens program and I love going to our annual girls camp and sharing unforgettable moments with the young women. The Young Women in my ward are spectacular and we all try to grow together to become worthy young women to enter the temple with our "prince charming" and start an eternal family.
