Hi I'm Shaylee

I grew up in Utah. I am missionary in Ecuador. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student currently studying nursing to eventually become a pediatric nurse practitioner. I currently work on a labor and delivery unit in a hospital and I love it! Aside from my job, I love to be outdoors; I love to hike, camp, fish, and just enjoy being outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me truly happy. The times in my life where I have felt true joy or been constantly happy and excited about life have been when I have been faithfully living the gospel. Through this beautiful church I have come to have a personal relationship with both my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that they truly love all of us and that through Jesus Christ and his atonement we can return to live in heaven with them again. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is real and that it is personal. I know that Christ suffered for all of my sins and shortcomings and I also know that He has felt all of my joy and excitement. He not only knows what I feel like when I am lonely and discouraged, but also what I feel when I feel His holy spirit testify to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and elder brother Jesus Christ with all my heart and I want to follow them. I want to live my life in such a way to make them happy and I know that the best way to do that is to make and keep covenants with them available only through this church. I am a Mormon because I cannot deny the overwhelming spirit of testimony that comes when I study this gospel and live its teachings.

How I live my faith

Right now I am a full-time missionary serving in the Quito Ecuador mission. I am living my faith my serving my Heavenly Father and helping His children to develop their own faith.
