Hi I'm Emery

I am the daughter of two first-generation converts. I am attending BYU and about to serve a mission in Minnesota. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished a year at BYU and am preparing to serve a mission. I enjoy reading, writing, and art, and I have illustrated two children's books.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ has provided so much peace in my life. I have been a member my whole life, but it wasn't until I was fourteen that I really studied the Book of Mormon and strove to understand the principles for myself, and this is when I gained a true testimony for myself. As I have studied the Book of Mormon and the other scriptures, I have felt an increased strength to do what is right, be more kind to others, and resist temptations. I also know that we truly have living prophets today who direct the church under the guidance of Jesus Christ. I have studied their words and know of their truth, and I love them. One of the greatest truths I know from this gospel is that families can be sealed together forever through priesthood power in the temple. I will still be with those who I love in heaven. The Holy Ghost has confirmed these truths to me, and I love them.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve a full-time mission, where I will share the gospel with people not of my faith and invite them to come unto Christ through baptism. I participate in my congregation by bearing my testimony as often as I can in church.
