Hi I'm Jaron

I'm a Son, Brother and Freind to all, but most importantly I'm a follower of Christ. I'm also a Mormon

About Me

My name is Jaron Peterson. I grew up in Utah and am currently serving an LDS mission in Tampa Florida. I enjoy riding Atv's or doing just about anything that gets me in the mountains or desert, learning about military history, model building, playing the guitar, spending time with my awesome family and building just about anything with my hands. I'm the second of four boys and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Life definitely wouldn't be the same without them. Before my mission I attended college with hopes of entering the mechanical engineering field. I had a wonderful time at college, but I've decided to put that on hold for a while so that I can help and serve people in Tampa just as Christ would.

Why I am a Mormon

I follow Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ because they're the source of every good thing in my life. If it wasn't for them none of this would have ever happened. I follow Christ because that's how I show him my love. Heavenly Father already has everything, the only thing I can give to show my love and appreciation is a willing heart. I know that I can rely on the Lord and that as long as I hold fast to him, I'll never be far from home. I follow Christ and encourage others to do the same because I've seen the tremendous blessings that have been bestowed upon my family and myself. I've read and continue to read the teachings of Christ from both the Bible and The Book of Mormon which is also another witness of the Savior of the World. I truly believe that anyone can find happiness by following Christ and his teachings. God surely loves each one of us, no matter what we have or haven't done. His love is perfect and eternal and I try my best to show him I appreciate that love.

How I live my faith

My faith is very important to me. It's basically means the whole world to me. It's like my family, I couldn't picture my life without it. I love my Savior and I do my best to follow him. He taught us how to help and serve others. That's why I've given these two years to him. To help spread and share that feeling with others. I've already seen the many miracles that come into peoples lives when they choose to follow Gods plan for us. I know that I can rely on a loving Heavenly Father that truly knows and cares about me and my family. He's given me this great chance to learn, even the hard times (which there are many). In those times I learn and gain greater Christ like attributes like patience and learning to turn outward instead of inward. This life can be hard, but God has given us hope through his son Jesus Christ. Through Christ all can be made right and no effort is every wasted. I'm grateful to know that I can always improve myself and that there's never an end. The peace the Gospel brings is worth more than anything in this world and I'm grateful for the opportunity I have to pay it forward to others.
