Hi I'm Brooklyn

I grew up in Gilbert. I have a twin brother. I'm a college student. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have finished a year of college. I love music and the performing arts. I enjoy having fun and being outdoors. I always look forward to trying new things and finding new adventures. I am the third of six kids and have a twin brother. I love my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the peace and spirit the gospel brings. It strengthens me and reminds me that I am a beloved child of God with a purpose. I know that I have the potential to grow and progress because of Jesus Christ and His atonement. I am a Mormon because I know the promises that I will make and keep will help me return back to my Heavenly Father and be with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

In my singles ward at school I was one of the music chairs. I loved organizing the music for sacrament meeting each week. It really strengthened my love of church music and my testimony of gospel principles. I also participate in visiting teaching (where my new calling is now) and other ward and stake service activities. I am now serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Brooklyn
Mormons believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. The books in the Bible came from true prophets. Mormons also believe in the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ and contains the writings of prophets in the Ancient Americas. They believe in the Doctrine and Covenants (revelations and declarations given to Latter-Day Prophets), and the Pearl of Great Price (revelations, translations, and writings of the Prophet Joseph Smith).
