Hi I'm Chad Ryan Hurst

I'm an Eagle Scout. I've almost lost 100 lbs. I served in the California Roseville Mission. I love photography. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play the piano and sing. I'm so grateful that God gives us music, and the abilities to ourselves create such beauty. I really enjoy filming and editing. I find it a great way to show my appreciation for the beautiful world in which we live, as I capture moments of it and put it into a little masterpiece. I'm second oldest of three siblings: an older sister and two younger brothers, and I love them all so much. I'm an Eagle Scout, and currently a full-time missionary serving in the California Roseville Mission, and I'm loving every second of it! I've lost 100 lbs., and I love being healthy because it makes me happy. I have been accepted to BYU-Idaho, and plan to begin my schooling there after completing my missionary service.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of fhe Lord's church everyday. It's a very conscious decision that I make. I have taken Christ's name upon myself, and as such, much is to be expected of me. God expects me to share the goodness that the gospel has brought to me. Because I have been so blessed to be on the receiving end, I too must give. My life has been full of such happiness and peace because gospel principles were instilled in my home and family. I continue to follow the Lord's gospel because I can feel His love when I do. It is such a deep and personal love that cannot be found anywhere else. I know that God loves me and that He has a plan for me, that I am a part of His plan. I know that marriage and family is ordained of God, and that He wants us all to be with our families forever. I know that by following the living prophet on the earth today, we can live eternally together with our loving Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the things I do everyday. As a current full-time missionary, I have such an incredible responsibility and opportunity to represent the Savior Jesus Christ, and to invite everyone to learn of Him, have faith in Him, and follow His example. I strive to do all of these things myself, through diligent prayer and scripture study, as well as seeking opportunities to love, lift, serve, inspire, and minister to others. Everyone, regardless of age or any sort of status, is invited to partake of the wonderful fruits available in this glorious gospel, and I hope that in all that I do and say, I may help those who seek the truth to find it. I also care for other missionaries, and I lead and conduct weekly meetings where we discuss our missionary work, and how we can improve to better help people.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Chad Ryan Hurst
Our Heavenly Father loves us so much, and He wants us to be able to have what He has, including a body, experience, and knowledge. These are some very important things we came down to this earth to obtain. We lived with God before this life, and with our ability to choose, we decided to accept further opportunities to exercise that agency by learning right from wrong. God also wants us to learn of Him and His Son, and would have us help others learn Who They are and what is required of us to return to live with Them someday. As we continually make righteous decisions, keeping the commandments and taking care of the physical and spiritual bodies we all have been blessed with, we can return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and our families for time and all eternity.
