Hi I'm Austin

I have lived in Utah my whole life. I have lived through the death of a parent, love the temple, and know the church is true.

About Me

I am a high schooler! I have grown up in Utah my whole life. I am a child of God, son, brother to four, friend, and proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I love to spend time with friends and family doing just about anything! I love being active through running, basketball, hiking, and other sports. I've always had a love for the piano and have played since I was eight. I love getting involved and have tried everything from being in a musical to joining a medical club. I am getting ready to serve a mission!

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in Utah my whole life as a member of the church it seemed easy to choose to go to church (even if I was sometimes forced) and believe what my parents had taught me about the LDS faith. After having my dad pass away unexpectedly when I was just a freshmen in high school, I learned I better choose for myself what I believed. It was really difficult to get through my trials and I wondered why God would let such a terrible thing happen to me when I hadn't done anything wrong. I came to the conclusion, through prayer and the Spirit I've felt, that God does love all His children and because of this He sent His son Jesus Christ to Earth to save us! I have never felt as good as I have when I'm living how I should and going to church. There is a special Spirit about this religion and although we all have our questions at points in our lives, I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ, and it will lead any member to happiness. Many kids my age find no need for God and feel that they are better off without. I wouldn't take back the trial of losing my dad because it taught me that we all need God and His plan for us. He truly loves each of us and I know this to be true.

How I live my faith

I love going to church. Since I was 12 I have played piano in some church meetings, and even had the opportunity to play the organ! I have enjoyed serving in some leadership positions. There are a lot of older folks in my ward so I have been blessed to have served many times for people that live near me. It's always brought happiness to me and those who were able to participate. I think that best way to share what you believe is by how you act and I strive to be kind to everyone, even my brothers and sisters! (Sometimes it's hard!) The most rewarding way I get to live my faith is by taking people that didn't come to church the sacrament every Sunday!
