Hi I'm Bruno

I was born in Brazil, but I grew up in Boston, Massachusetts since the age of six. I love to play guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an only child, but my whole family is from Brazil. I really enjoy watching and playing soccer, although I never played for a team. In high school, I ran track and was on the swim team. I was mostly a distance runner for track, and I swam butterfly and freestyle for swimming. I absolutely love music! I play the guitar, and I'll listen to just about anything except metal. I'm an outdoor kind of guy. I love hiking, and just being out in nature, especially during warm weather. Having grown up in New England, the seasons are all very different, but I really enjoy the summer and the spring. After I finished high school, I went to college at Brigham Young University-Idaho for a semester, and now I will be serving a mission the Texas McAllen Mission, in which I will be teaching in Spanish. I report to the Provo MTC on April 20, 2015, and I am really excited to the Lord's work and serve the people of Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-day Saint (also known as Mormon) when I was ten years old. Two missionaries came by our house and started teaching us about the Gospel. We wanted to learn more so we invited them to come back. After reading parts of the Book of Mormon, and praying whether or not it was true, I could feel a strong feeling, and a rush of joy so I knew it was. I knew that the Holy Ghost was confirming to me that this Church was true. I am so glad I made the decision to join the Church. Ever since, I did, I could feel my life changing, and my life being blessed. This Gospel makes me so happy, and it comforts me to know where I will go after I die, and that I will be able to live with my family for eternity. To me, there is no greater joy than that.

How I live my faith

I love this church and this gospel. I live my faith by following the commandments the Lord has given us. I try to improve myself each day because I know that as I do so, I will bring myself closer to Christ. I am happiest when I am living the Gospel and when I'm doing what is right, and what Christ would do. This is how I know this church and gospel is true. I try to pray and read my scriptures everyday, and as I do so, I feel spiritually nourished. Doing these things help us better understand the big questions, as well as the small ones that have troubled us. Furthermore, I try to attend church and partake of the Sacrament every Sunday so I can repent of my sins and strive to be more perfect.
