Hi I'm Carole

I am a mom, a grandma, a convert to the church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a degree in Home Economics. I have 6 children. I have 15 grandchildren. I love to work in my garden. I love to sew, and crochet, and knit. I am a rabid baseball fan. I love the Blue Jays. I read mysteries. I am pretty proficient on the computer and I send texts to my kids. I start plants under lights in my garage. I have a lot of bird feeders. I love to go for walks in the park.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because members of the church included me in their activities when I was a young mother,. They helped me to feel the love of the gospel that they had in their homes and I wanted that in ours. My husband has been a member of the church his whole life and his family has been members for generations. When we decided together to raise our children in the gospel and to follow the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ our home became the kind of home I wanted it to be. My children were raised to be honest, upright, contributing individuals, and they are raising their children that way too. I believe the teachings of the church helped us to create the kind of family that I wanted to have. We follow a living prophet. I know that God lives and loves each one of us. I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can all repent of our mistakes and return to Him again. I know that we are led by a prophet of the Lord. I know that the scriptures are true and I believe that we have the fullness of the Gospel in our church. I am a Mormon because I know that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are true.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the church for over 35 years. I first met the missionaries when I was in University. I also met my husband there and he introduced me to the missionaries. I didn't join the church until after we had been married for 7 years and had 2 kids. When I joined the church I knew it was the right place for me. I have taught classes to women, young women, little kids and now I teach youth. I teach an online religious study class for youth who are not close enough to the church to come each day for class. I love to teach the gospel and study the scriptures so that I can become a better disciple of Jesus Christ. I try hard to help my teenage students develop their own relationship with the Savior.
