Hi I'm Adriana Cottle

I'm from Bellevue, Washington, my second home is France, I love to dance, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at Brigham Young University studying Exercise Physiology. I recently got home from serving a mission in the Paris, France area and am now in love with the language, culture, and food of course. I am a tap dancer who can never stop moving my feet and am always playing music wherever I go.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being so has brought me the most joy I've ever had. I was born and raised in an Latter Day Saint, or Mormon, family with parents who taught me the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but they also heavily emphasized the principle of agency. Agency basically means the freedom to choose and is one of God's greatest gifts to His children. This being said, my parents never forced me to go to church or do certain practices, but encouraged me to make those choices myself. Now, there were times when I did go to that party where there were drugs or alcohol, or when I did play that basketball game on Sunday, but in those moments, I realized how much I didn't want to go to those parties anymore, or to go to church instead of play basketball on Sundays. I still have a lot to learn, but I have seen many times in my life that when I have chosen to follow the doctrines and principles as taught by Jesus Christ, I am never filled with sadness and regret, but peace and joy.

How I live my faith

I recently returned from serving a mission in the Paris, France mission, whihc includes the northern half of France, parts of Belgium, and Luxembourg. While being there, I was not only able to learn the language and culture, but serve the people around me. As a mission we decided ever day, except for 12 hours once a week, to sharing with people our testimonies of Jesus Christ and how that will help them in their lives. My experience in France was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and has helped me to look at life with a more service focused lens. Though I am no where near being perfect, I found that when I am able to find someone to serve, I not only feel great love for them, but feel the love of my Heavenly Father for both of us.
