Hi I'm Kylee

I'm a Utah girl, served as a missionary in the Norway Oslo Mission, and believe that laughing is the best medicine!

About Me

I recently returned home from serving my mission in the Norway Oslo Mission. I absolutely loved being able to come to love those people and help them feel the love of their Savior and help them come to the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ! I am currently a BYU student and am studying pre-nursing!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that are members of the church and I have been a member my entire life. Ever since I was little, I believed that the church was true because that was what my whole life had been centered on and that was what I had been taught. But, that being said I couldn't lean on my parent's testimonies forever. I had to search, ponder and pray and find out for myself if the church was true. So... I did just that and because of that simple little prayer I came to KNOW that this church is true! So why am I a Mormon? Because I KNOW with all my heart that this gospel is true. I am a Mormon because I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me with an unconditional love and not only listens to every single prayer, but answers every single prayer. I am a Mormon because I know that I have a Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ who came to this earth to atone for each and every one of us because He loves us. He atoned for not only our sins, but also atoned for every pain, affliction and heartache. He knows how to perfectly succor His people because He walked this path alone just so we don't have to. I am a Mormon because I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and was called to restore the fullness of the gospel to the earth. I am a Mormon because I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet and that he was called of God to be His mouthpiece on the earth and to lead His church at this point and time. I am a Mormon because I know that temples allow us to be together with our past, present and future families for eternity. I am a Mormon because this gospel is the definition of true happiness and it is not temporary happiness, it is eternal. This gospel is the greatest news that the world could ever receive and I am eternally grateful that I get to be a part of it:)

How I live my faith

One of the best ways that I feel that I live my faith is by trying to look outside myself and look for opportunities to serve those around me. Not every act of service has to be big in order to make a difference so a simple wave, smile, or a willingness to help can go a long way! I've had many opportunities to serve as I have served as a youth leader in different presidencies in Young Women's (Young Women ages 12-18). I have also had the opportunity to serve as a leader over girls ages 10-12 (Activity Days) and teach them more about our Savior and to prepare them for Young Women's. I have loved these opportunities to serve and feel that my testimony of my faith strengthens and grows as I help others gain and strengthen their own testimonies!

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

There is not really one specific answer as to how to increase our faith in Jesus Christ because I feel there are multiple ways that our faith can be increased. One way to increase our faith in Jesus Christ is to pray and ask specifically on how we can increase our faith. I promise you that you will receive an answer and that our Father in Heaven will greatly bless you in your efforts in trying to gain more faith in our Savior. Another way to increase our faith is by reading the scriptures. Read about His life in the New Testament, or read about His visit to the Americas in the Book of Mormon (Another Testament of Jesus Christ) and I know that as you begin to read and truly study His life and His miracles that you will begin to feel your faith increase. As long as you have a sincere desire to truly increase your faith in the Savior and you pray, read, and do all that you can to become closer to Him then your faith WILL increase. But our faith is never at a stand still. It is either growing stronger or getting weaker. Increasing our faith is a constant effort, but it is effort that you will never regret. Show more Show less
