Hi I'm TJ Pogroszewski

I'm from the Mormon factory of Utah, I play College baseball, I'm a sports guy, I love being with the homies, and I'm a Mormon :)

About Me

My whole life I have grown up with 2 things... Sports and the Gospel. My parents both served missions in Sweden (where they met) and I am the first kid to go on a mission in our family. I love being outdoors, LOVE the mountains of Utah, and can spend hours on end watching baseball or any other sport... Except maybe soccer ;) I've held different jobs, anything from a lifeguard, to a waiter at a restaurant, grounds crew for a baseball complex, and a carpet cleaner. I love having the gospel of Jesus Christ on my side and somebody I can always turn to in prayer! I love meeting and talking with new people and trying new things. One of my most favorite hobbies is eating! one of my favorite foods is chicken alfredo, Yeegan. I'm a graduate of good ol Manti High School in central Utah and have enjoyed growing up in a small town :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon mostly because my parents were and I was basically born into this church... However, I'm a firm believer that you can only live off of your parents testimony for so long. It doesn't matter if you're Catholic, Methodist, or Jehova's Witness, at SOME POINT in your life you're gonna have to step up to the plate, get down on your knees, and ask God if whatever church you are in IS THE CHURCH FOR YOU! And that's excactly what I did in my mid teens. And I've come to know with 100% surety in my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints IS the true church of God and that this is where I NEED to be. I've never been happier in my life after I've come to this knowledge. It means the world to me to be a Mormon, and I will never be ashamed of that, because I know for myself the blessings that come from following the commandments of God and receiving counsel from a living prophet.

How I live my faith

I've definitely had my times of spiritual darkness throughout my life, and that's something I'd like to work on. I've shown my faith however by holding various church callings, graduating from seminary (basically 4 years of church classes) and have made the decision to serve the Lord on a 2 year mission away from home. I've tried to be an example to those around me, I may not have always succeeded, but nobody's perfect ;) I find joy in reading the Book of Mormon and absolutely love talking about the restoration of the church!

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

TJ Pogroszewski
We live the good life. There are so many people out there that believe in order to have a good lifestyle or to enjoy life, you need to party, have lots of friends, drink, smoke, and do all of these "worldly" things. Well Mormons don't do that... So how do we have fun and keep living the life we do? We believe in Worshiping our Heavenly Father, and that alone brings great joy. And we do regular things! Sports, hiking, swimming, spending time as a family or in the mountains, or both! We love living life the way we should. I would say our lifestyle is probably pretty similar to yours. We have school, homework, jobs, and a family. The way you wake up at 6:00 am is no different then the way WE wake up at 6:00 am. We just strive to be Christlike daily. Nobody's perfect, but we can become perfect THROUGH CHRIST. And that's the good life :) Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

TJ Pogroszewski
Let me answer this question with a question. If you found something really special to you, like I mean something that makes you the HAPPIEST YOU COUKD EVER BE, and you know with 100% surety of your heart that THIS THING could bless others lives and change the world... Would you share it with someone who doesn't have it? This is the reason why missionaries knock door to door, talk to thousands of people, study, sweat, and ride hundreds of miles on bikes to find ANYONE who is interested in hearing our message. We bring the good word to everyone we can! Because it means so much to us that we want to share it with everyone and help them get closer to our Heavenly Father through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ.
