Hi I'm Taylor

I'm a mountain bike racer who loves kids and serving others! I'm a Mormon! :)

About Me

I am a 14 year old Mormon girl who loves the great outdoors. In my free time I love to mountain bike, ski, rock climb, camp--pretty much anything outside. I love this gospel so dearly. It is like candy to me. It is so sweet and I hope to someday share this wonderful gospel I love and adore so much by serving a full time mission. I also love children and those who have special needs. It is so fun for me to see all of the circumstances of Heavenly Father's beautiful children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings so much joy and happiness to my life. Without the gospel as an anchor to keep me close to our heavenly family, I would be so lost and feel hopeless. The gospel has brought such a sense of peace, love and true joy to my life. It has made the good times even better, and it has kept me smiling through the bad times. The gospel has helped me learn that we can be together with our families forever--which is so huge for me. I am also so grateful for the atonement and all it has done for me and my family. I'm so grateful for the knowledge I have that God has a plan for me and he sent his son Jesus Christ on earth for me; and he did these things for you too. I love all the plain and simple truths that the gospel has brought me and that I have come to know and love. The gospel helps me stay pure and happy and nothing else could ever come close to the feeling the gospel brings me.

How I live my faith

I am still just a teenager, so I love love love inviting friends and those who need some encouragement to the church's youth activities and to sacrament meeting. I love serving others and helping all those around me, no matter who they are or where they come from. I believe that all of God's children should be loved and respected to the deepest degree because hey--nobody's perfect and everyone is unique and has a different circumstance in life. I love working with special education kids, and at school I take a class where I get to take them to classes and overall have an awesome time with them. I also attend the temple at least one time a week, but I often go twice a week. The joy and peace the temple gives me is so amazing and I love it so much. I am so grateful to have so many temples near my home.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a witness of what you know in the church to be true. Your testimony doesn't have to be huge and elaborate. As long as you are doing your best to be a true follower of this church your testimony will grow. As you strive to do what Christ would do and live a good life, your testimony grows. We can share our testimonies in many ways. It doesn't have to be just standing up and saying ,"I know this church is true....." You can share your testimony just by being a good example to those around you. Sharing your testimony is a good way to help your testimony grow, and to help the testimonies of those around you. How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

You can increase your faith in Christ in many ways. One way to increase your faith is to truly live the gospel of Jesus Christ. As you strive to become more like Jesus Christ, you will come to realize all he has done for you. Another way to increase your faith is by praying and reading scriptures with a real intent. If you truly strive to know the truth and to be a better person, your faith will grow. Asking questions about things you might not understand in the church is an amazing way to grow faith. You can do this through prayer, or you can ask a church leader or member of the church. Show more Show less
