Hi I'm Brent H. Judd

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Clinical Social Worker who has had the privilege of counseling with youth, parents and families. I have spent a large portion of my professional life working in lock up facilities for both youth and adults. I have found many of these individuals to be decent, caring people who were not given the opportunities that I had as a young man. Many are prepared to change the direction of their lives. I am a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. I love spending time with all of my family. I love to read although this is not something I grew to enjoy until I was older. I enjoy a wide range of different books. I love to travel, especially road trips. I have traveled across this nation that I love and up into Canada several times. There is nothing better than a 3 day weekend and a road trip.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in Southern Utah and in the LDS faith, my parents were not strict followers until I was in my mid teens. I had a good feeling when I attended meetings and met with my religious leaders. As a 19 year old missionary serving in Western Canada I was able to meet many people of different faiths and nationalities. Through this service I became more aware of how blessed I was as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I have had a variety of opportunities to serve in many different callings in the Church. All of these callings taught me important things about life and the importance of being an example of Christ to others. Over the last several years though I have truly come to love the Book of Mormon. As I have been a devoted reader of it my life has taken on a greater purpose and meaning. Some habits which I have struggled with which were very negative for me have disappeared. Daily reading of the Book of Mormon has given me a certain spirituality that I have not had before. This amazing book will give us answers to life's most difficult questions or problems if we will but choose to study it daily. The Book of Mormon and additionally living Prophets and Apostles is why I am a Mormon. In the world today we certainly need a Prophet to guide and direct us as the World is heading in a very unprofitable direction.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily by being an example to others. I enjoy attending and participating in weekly church meetings. I also enjoy teaching others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how Christ's teaching are still as important to us in this day and age as they were to the Jews of Christ's time. Charity to me I s the most important of all of Christ's teaching. It is critical to view each other as the Savior would view us and all the people around us. I think if we could do this every day, especially with people who are not of our personal view point that this world would be a much better place to live in. Charity never faileth.
