Hi I'm Kali

I love the outdoors and being with animals. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a blood donor and enjoy doing things that help others. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in Paris, France. I work as a nanny and absolutely love it! I currently live on a small farm and really enjoy the work required to up keep it. I plan to start college after my mission and hope to be able to study abroad for part of my schooling.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in the LDS faith my choice to be a member is so much more than just what my parents wanted for me. They never made me go to church once I was old enough to be left home alone, they wanted it to be my choice. At first guilt kept me from staying home but over time that turned into a desire to be in church. None of my mother's siblings are members and I paid close attention to their lives compared to my mom's. There was a stark contrast and it was apparent to me what the differences were. I love my aunts and uncles but they struggled with a lot of things in life that my family never had to as a result of the gospel. I didn't want those trials in my life; my testimony started to grow. God's commandments had a purpose and He knew what I needed in my life. Not every commandment God gives made sense to me right away, but as I focused on the things I struggled with and studied and prayed I was able to gain an understanding and trust in My Lord piece by piece. I know God loves me and everyone of His children. He has a grand plan for us all but also wants to be an active part of each of our individual lives. He sent his son to atone for our sins so that we can live with Him forever. He has modern prophets to lead and guide us. His prophet Joseph Smith restored the same gospel to this modern time that Christ taught during his ministry on the earth.

How I live my faith

When I was a youth in the young women's program I often served in a leadership position planning activities that we could all enjoy and being a friend to all. Now that I'm an adult I have a similar calling as a visiting teacher coordinator checking in with others to make sure everyone knows they're cared for.
