Hi I'm Michelle Cheney

I'm 19 and will be serving an LDS mission in Fort Worth, Texas in the Spanish language for 18 months.

About Me

I love tohike, run, and play basketball and soccer. I love learning about anything medical, and was studying to become a Paramedic at BYU-Idaho. My dream is to help people in third world countries as a medical personnel. I also love being outdoors, and appreciating the beautiful world God has given us, and I especially love mountains and crazy camping trips with my family. I love just being happy and crazy!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know, for myself, that I am a daughter of God, and that he loves me, and each of his other children. I have come to know that he desires us to return to him, and to gain happiness. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for each one of us, and that we can always be forgiven and continue to learn and grow. I know that this is the restored gospel, and that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I know that this book is a real record of the people who lived in the Americas, and that we are able to gain personal revelation through reading and applying it's teachings. I know that we have latter day prophets, and that they follow the same order of the gospel that Christ organized when he was on the earth. I KNOW these things to be true. I have learned it for myself. I have questioned, studied, pondered, and prayed to come to this knowledge, and my prayers have been answered. I know God answers our prayers, even if it is in a way we do not necessarily want, or expect, but HE DOES ANSWER THEM. I hope that others will come to know this for themselves as well, and experience the spirit and love and joy that comes with living the teachings of this gospel.

How I live my faith

I have held leadership roles within the youth groups, as well as working with family history through helping people come to know about their ancestors. I try to live my faith every day with the people I meet, and enjoying the many blessings I've been given.
