Hi I'm Samuel

I grew up in a small town in California. I love to sing and I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent the first sixteen years of my life in Northern California before I moved to Utah. My little town was gorgeous, huge trees and amazing scenery. Before I moved, I played soccer, volleyball, tennis, and ultimate frisbee. I am a huge choir nerd, I absolutely love to sing. Since moving, I have participated in many musicals, a dance team, and I've done my fair share of exploring. I love being outdoors and I love my family. I am serving my mission in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the love of my Savior and I see the blessings I receive from living the gospel. I was born into the church to my loving parents. I have an older brother who has helped me through everything, a little brother who keeps me busy, and two little sisters that I love with all my heart. I love my family more than anything, and I am thankful that through the gospel I will be able to live with them forever, even after my life on this earth is over. The gospel of Christ is a gospel of love, and I know that I have felt His love. I feel it when I'm happy, I feel it when I'm upset, and I feel it when I'm sad. I am so thankful that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me so much. When the economy crashed in California, my family was hit hard. My father wasn't able to make enough money to keep us in our house, or feed and clothe us. But, with love and support from our family, friends, our fellow church members, the Church, and the love of our savior, we were able to make it through, and my testimony is all the stronger for it. I love Jesus Christ. I love His gospel. I love His Church. And I love being a mormon.

How I live my faith

I work hard to live my faith every day. My favorite way to live my faith is by sharing it. And my favorite way of sharing it is by singing it. I participate in a couple of choirs that sing church hymns. I love the spirit you feel when you sing,it blesses lives and reminds us of the love our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for us. That's why,as I participate in service projects and acts of charity I sing and whistle my favorite hymns. Whenever I'm not in a place where I can sing or whistle I simply keep a good song in my head. When I'm not singing, I follow the example of Jesus Christ as I work hard to learn my mission language, plan study and teach the Gospel to people who are ready to hear, and serve people so I can help others come unto Christ. I am also thankful for music in my life, specifically church music.
