Hi I'm Preston

I grew up in Texas. I've done humanitarian work in Peru. I'm going to be a missionary in Montreal Canada, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school graduate. I am going on my mission to Montreal Canada in July 2016. I will be attending a university when I return from my mission where I hope to take classes to help me enter medical school. I love reading, skiing, playing the piano, basketball, soccer, golf, and pretty much anything outdoors. I love camping, hiking, and just being out in nature. I love being with all of my family and I can't wait to have a family of my own. I mow lawns and I teach piano for my jobs. I am one of the family history consultants in my ward and I love doing family history. I also work in the baptistry in the Mount Timpanogos temple.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel and was baptized when I was 8. Though I was very young when I was baptized, I have since had many spiritual experiences confirming my faith in this gospel. I have felt God's love for His children especially when I got the opportunity to serve in Lima, Peru. I know that He loves each of us and knows us personally and by name. I have felt the Spirit confirm to me that our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, is called of God and is a true prophet for our latter days. I love him and I know that he is God's mouthpiece for each of us. I know that Jesus Christ loves us and He atoned for all of our sins. He can lift us when we need help and is always right at our side, ready to help. I know that our church is true and I don't know where I would be without my beliefs. I know the gospel is true because of these things, but also because of how it makes me a better person. Every day that I live the gospel fully, is a day I become closer to Christ and becoming like Him. I want to become like Christ and my Father in Heaven and I know that through this Gospel I can do that.

How I live my faith

I am a home teacher for two families and I love doing that. I am also one of the ward family history consultants. I have given training to both our ward and stake on family history and I really enjoy doing my own family history work. I recently graduated seminary. Seminary was one of my favorite parts of my high school education. It was a great refuge from the world where I could feel the Spirit. One of my favorite things I get to do is to administer the sacrament to the sick and elderly in my ward. I love getting to know all the people in my ward and they are all so grateful for the service they are receiving. They are so loving and kind. One of the biggest ways I will live my faith is coming up soon. I am going to be a missionary and I am so excited! I can't wait to work with the people of Montreal and I already love Canada so much! I am so excited to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with my brothers and sisters in Canada!
