Hi I'm Lindsay Porter

I grew up in St. George, UT. I am now serving as a missionary in Vancouver WA. Avid Harry Potter and LOTR fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 19 year old. I have attended college for a year now. I am going to be serving a LDS mission a very short time from now. I live near campus and I work as a CNA. I love playing the piano, reading, hiking, and having fun with friends and family but most of all I love this gospel! I attend church every Sunday and also go to LDS Institute twice a week. The Chirch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints brings my life so much joy and so many blessings such as an amazing family. Two sisters and one brother and my loving parents. Family is everything to me!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have had the spirit testify to me of the reality of my Savior Jesus Christ and his Gospel. I was raised in the church but there was a time when I had to make my own choice of the life I wanted to live. I knew the happiness I had in my life from the scriptures and the constant guidance of the Holy Ghost and I chose to continue on in that path. I believe in my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I believe they love me and everyone. This gospel brings me true happiness. I am very grateful that I can be with my family forever. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth. I gained my testimony By sincere prayer to my Father in Heaven to know the truth. He answered and I know he will answer anyone's sincere prayer. I was overwhelmed with the feeling of peace and reassurance I had that this is indeed the true gospel and that through the Atonement I can be with my Savior again and be with my family forever, even after death. I am so grateful to be a Mormon and will never stop being grateful for the blessings it has given me.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday. I also attend LDS Institute twice a week. I go through every day striving to be like my Savior. I live my faith by serving my fellow man, love all of God's children, being kind to everyone around me, and sharing my testimony of my faith at any time I can. I am now serving an LDS mission in Vancouver, Washington.
