Hi I'm Danita Wilcox

I grew up in Mink Creek, Idaho on a ranch with six siblings. I have seven children and twenty grandchildren. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I recently retired after working as a rural carrier for twenty-six years. I play the piano and organ and I like to cook and sew. I have traveled to Europe and Asia. I have learned from raising seven children that families mean more than anything else. Watching and helping my children succeed brings joy that can be found nowhere else.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy it brings to my life. I know that by living as the gospel teaches me to that I am blessed in every part of my life. I avoid many worldly problems by following the Savior and our prophet and receive blessings of health and happiness. I find joy in serving the Lord and building His kingdom.

How I live my faith

I have helped with organ, piano and conducting music in our church meetings. I have served the women in our area by visiting them in their homes and providing encouragement and love. It is especially rewarding to visit sisters that have very little contact with other people. I have helped organize activities and events that help to teach others and strengthen their testimonies. I have also taught the youth by teaching lessons, organizing camps, and planning activities that can teach them about Jesus Christ and His plan for us on this earth. I serve now in the temple which is very rewarding. I will leave soon to serve as a missionary in the Philippines teaching about Jesus Christ and His restored gospel.
