Hi I'm Jacob Stiles-Culver

I was born in a small town. I am an Eagle Scout. I am a triathlete and highly competitive swimmer. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a recent high school graduate. I was drum major for 3 years in high school and also have made both Regional Ensembles with band and choir all four years in high school. My senior year, I made it into the All-State Choir. Upon furthering my education I plan on majoring in music education. I have been a highly active athlete competing in swimming, triathlons, basketball, cross country, track and field, baseball, and soccer throughout my life. I am also and Eagle Scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at 8 years old, but had not grown up with a knowledge of the gospel. My family started meeting with missionaries while I was fairly young and I was just coming alone because I wanted to stay with my family and have fun. When my mother and sisters were baptized, I began my journey of understanding what it means to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints. I was soon baptized at 8 and since then, I have loved everything about this religion. I learn so much about who I am, where I came from, and my purpose for me being here on this earth at this time. I have had many trials and from them, I have learned many things that give me a greater sense every day that I am a child of God, and He has a plan for me.

How I live my faith

In high school, seminary has played a major role in my knowledge and conversion of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I have grown a habit of reading scriptures daily from the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price. I also continue to live and expound my knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by sharing what I know to be true with anybody around me.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Jacob Stiles-Culver
There are many authors for the Book of Mormon. Such writers are from the old days before the birth of Christ and during his lifetime and after his death and resurrection. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ that was written in the Americas. Through time, the Book of Mormon was kept and preserved by the Lord until the time of Joseph Smith who translated the Book of Mormon from the original edition know as the golden plates into what is here today, the Book of Mormon.
