Hi I'm Madelyn Welling

I've lived in Utah all my life. I am currently serving as a missionary in Singapore. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college to become an accountant. Yes, some may think that sounds boring, but I love numbers and someone has to do it, right? A few interests of mine are dancing, reading and spending time outside. For as long as I can remember I have always loved dancing. Whether I’m up on stage or in my kitchen, dancing has always been able to bring a smile to my face. Reading is another thing that calms me down. There is something so exciting about escaping into another world even just for a little. I like to pretend I’m part of the book and insert myself into it! If I’m not dancing or reading you can generally find me outside. I love running, hiking, rock climbing and pretty much anything in the fresh air, especially when I’m with my family. I love staying active, I love school, I love spending time with my family, and I’m always up for a new adventure!

Why I am a Mormon

My life is the way it is, I am who I am, I think the way I think, and I will become who I want to become because of the AWESOME influence this church has had on me. I know that the scriptures are true words from God and that a prophet foreordained to his work, translated them for us. I know I witness God's work in action each time I feel the spirit and that the spirit is my fuel! I know this church is true and I can testify of the happiness it brings! True happiness. The most incredible kind. I love this church. I love it! I love it, I love it, I LOVE it!

How I live my faith

Growing up a member of the LDS church I have had many opportunities to participate in church callings. I have felt blessings in my life as I have served in my callings. I am currently serving as the family history Sunday school teacher. I have learned so many fun new things about my dear family that came before me these past few months and I am so grateful for this calling. I have had many opportunity to read old journals, hear stories and find out new things about family members that have passed on. It is so special finding out about them and realizing things we have in common. I look forward to continuing learning about my ancestors and my heritage.
