Hi I'm Matt

I grew up in Utah, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy lots of different activities, especially outdoor activities. I love to go hiking out in the mountains, and I enjoy camping too. I love sports, especially basketball, football, and frisbee. My favorite sports team is BYU and I enjoy attending and watching their games. I also enjoy things like reading, building puzzles, and assembling things like furniture.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because truly and simply, I believe it, and I know it to be true. I started off as a Mormon simply because I was born into the church and that is what my parents expected me to do. But as I grew older and learned more of the teachings of the church I really wanted to know. I read the Book of Mormon by myself when I was about 7 or 8 years old and I had it confirmed to me that it was true. But that was not the end. When I entered my teenage years I began to have doubts again if it was true. I determined that I must once again learn for myself if the church really was true, I determined to read the Book of Mormon again and I did. I prayed about it again and once more I had a sweet confirmation that this gospel is true. I know it and I hope that others can come to know of it to. I can indeed say that I am a Mormon because I believe it and I know it for myself.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by attending my church meetings every week by being kind to everyone that I see. At other places such as my job and school I try to think about Christ and have him be my example for everything that I do. I always look for opportunities to go out and serve others. And I am currently preparing to go and serve my LDS mission. I have been called to go and serve in Rome Italy. I leave in July this year and it is exciting for me to go, I find joy in serving people and the Lord.
