Hi I'm Cynthia

I grew up in South Texas. I'm a 1st generation college medical chemist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Texas JAMPer aspiring medical student advancing in aspirations in an MD/PHD program to conduct clinical trials as biomedical research. I love outdoor activites such as camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, etc. As well as reading, working in the lab and learning new food recipes for the kitchen.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with a Mormon family. I was baptized at 8, but shortly after, my family fell apart with actions such as divorce and loss of communication. My mom stopped taking us to church. When I was around 11 or so, I felt an urge to go to church and I found rides to go. I have gone to church by myself since. I felt discouraged every time I sat at those church pews by myself without my family support. My family did not show me these things. Instead I learned on my own along with God's help. I am a Mormon because I have had that confirmation from the holy spirit show me that I am in the same church or organization that Jesus Christ established while he was here on the Earth, and I got that confirmation by praying with faith and reading the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a branch missionary, Sunday school gospel principles teacher and visiting teacher. Within these responsibilities or titles, my main focus is to befriend and help others come unto Christ through his teachings.
