Hi I'm Tyler

My name is Tyler. I am from a beautiful city in northern Utah. I'm currently a volunteer in the awesome country of Russia!

About Me

Hey!!! So the first and foremost thing that I love to do is lay back and jam on my guitar. Anytime, anywhere. Playing with my buddies is one of my favorite pastimes also. Music is really something special to me. I also love to play basketball! I have played since I was 5 years old. #firstlove I am an older brother, and an older brother who has the best siblings in the world! Anyhow, I am currently serving as a volunteer in the country of Russia! This place is really really amazing. The culture is great, the food is interesting, and best of all the people are the best of all.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt for myself the love of Heavenly Father, and His son Jesus Christ. Everyday in my life I feel the guidance and the love I recieve from them through the power of prayer. I feel the strength and confidence that comes from daily communication with a loving God. I am a Mormon because I know that God really wants to help us. He revealed His doctrine to the Prophet Joseph Smith and continues to give guidance to our latter-day prophets. I am a Mormon because I have seen the fruits that come from being a member, and being able to reap the benefits of the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving to the best of my abilities. I love my opportunity to be serving as a volunteer in Russia! I am able to meet with members, share my testimony with them and let theirs strengthen mine. I love to hear about their love for the Book of Mormon, and how they love to read it. I live my faith by studying the Book of Mormon, and trying my best to apply it's principles. To live with more charity, patience, and honesty.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Tyler
We are asked to pay tithing to the church, but by doing so we also are giving back a little bit to Christ. We believe that he has given to us innumerable blessings, and we can show our faith in Him by giving back. Paying tithing also helps support The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
