Hi I'm Tiva Sheffet

Born & Raised in Portland, Oregon. Studied at BYU-Idaho. Traveled the WORLD! & currently serving as a missionary! & I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm currently a student at BYU-Idaho. I grew up in a pretty cool-hippie environment. I love music! I'm pretty chill to be around. I love meeting new people. I work for the airlines, so I travel all over. I love getting to know other cultures, and seeing how other people grew up. I guess my life goal is to really understand others, and try to serve them.. oh and to travel the world. I love playing sports: basketball, rugby, volleyball, golf.. You name it, and I've played it.. & if I haven't played it, I'd love to learn. I'm into expanding my knowledge in every aspect of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because of all the promises this gospel offers. I'm thankful to know that Jesus Christ died for our sins, and because of him we can return to our Heavenly Father. I'm thankful that no matter what has happened in my life church members always welcome me with open arms. This gospel has changed my life for the best. I couldn't see myself with out this gospel. I took the church for granted while in my late teens and early 20s. I came back to church, because I've seen how we can receive peace and love through living the gospel. I know this church is true, and that's because I know the book of mormon is true. & I know it's true because I read it and prayed to know if it's true. I promise that if you read and pray to know it's true, Heavenly Father will let you know. I love this gospel and how it focuses a lot on families. I love this church and everything about it. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I've served in church callings through out my life while in my youth until now. I think the coolest thing I've been called to do is serve a 18month mission in the California, Oakland/San Francisco mission. A mission is basically me going out for a period of time and just serving others, and telling others about the church I'm apart of. I loved growing up a Mormon, I did tons of activities like Saturday morning open gym, camps, and just tons of fun activities. I'm thankful for my youth days, but just because I've gotten a little older doesn't mean the fun activities stopped. Nope. I just do them with people older, and more wiser. It's pretty sweet!
