Hi I'm Jamison Smith

I grew up in Colorado. I am a 3000m National Champion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a pretty average background. I am 18 years old and just recently accepted my mission call to Costa Rica. My dad is a dentist, I have 5 siblings, and live in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I'm also pretty unusual. I absolutely love running and pushing my limits, even if that means passing out after my races from running so hard. I am a National Champion in the indoor 3000M and an All-American at the high school level.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have received a testimony of this religion from the Holy Ghost. I know it is true with all of my heart. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that through his atonement I can live with my Heavenly Father. I know that he restored his gospel after it fell away after his death through his prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God. Knowing all this has influenced who I am and who I am trying to become. Knowing that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me gives me hope and inspiration. I try to be the best person I can and to use the talents he has given me to help my fellow man. I try to bear testimony of Christ in everything I do. I know that I am not perfect and mess up a lot, but I know if I have a sincere heart I can repent through the power of the atonement.

How I live my faith

Church for me isn't just a once a week thing. It literally fills up my whole life. Every morning before school I wake up extra early to attend a seminary (bible study) class for one hour. I also read the scriptures every day and am currently spending hours every day preparing for my mission.
