Hi I'm Valery

I'm Mexican. I'm serving in Santiago, Chile as missionary. I'm happy for the Gospel and the atonement of Jesus Christ. I'm Mormon.

About Me

I have been called to serve as a full time missionary in Santiago, Chile. I studied the course of BYU Pathway before coming to the mission. I like reading, languages, and sports: Specially swimming and basketball. I also like music; play violin and piano, as well as sing and dance. I enjoy spending time with my family. I like to serve my fellow and to my Lord Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because living the Gospel has helped me find happiness even in the moments of difficulty. My life has been blessed to understand that I have a purpose and that there is life after death. I have the blessing of being born in a family who knew the Church more than 100 years ago. The testimony of my ancestors, their life, faith, faithfulness and sacrifice have been one of the foundations of my faith and they have strengthened my own testimony. However, the sureness of my testimony comes from on high, because I've come to know for myself that Jesus is the Christ, and that his Gospel is true. In the book of Mormon I love when the sons of Mosiah were going to go on their missions. They left everything, including their right to the Kingdom which his father had. And the reason was because they could not bear that any human soul should perish. And that's because they had charity, and I can say the same. It is beautiful to experience the joy that brings the Gospel, the atonement, the scriptures, and the love that I have felt on the part from others and from my Heavenly Father, that I can't afford losing people without feeling the love that I've been able to feel. I see them as God sees them. I know that this church is true and that only by the charity we can be saved. Only in this way we can become like him. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving my fellow and learning from the Gospel. I visit families and people that have just been baptized to teach them and to feel not alone. I also help playing the piano in the meetings and I am preparing myself to be a missionary. The study of the Scriptures both personally, and with my family or groups of Institute, have strengthened my faith and help me to become more like Christ. I love to learn of Him and follow His example. I delight in worshipping my God in the Sabbath day by attending church to renew my covenants while participating with dignity of the sacrament every week, by singing hymns by lifting up my gratitude to the Lord for His Holy Spirit who has guided me and makes me happy, by serving on church callings and, by strengthening others while inviting them to come unto Christ and be perfected in him. I would like to that everyone could receive the ordinances of salvation that we receive in the Church of Jesus Christ and in the Holy temples; which literally are The House of The Lord.
