Hi I'm Tyler

I was raised in Utah, love camping, hiking, launching rockets, etc...I'm currently serving a mission in Minnesota and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah, the oldest of three in my family. I love to go camping, backpacking, hiking, and geocaching. I also love to sit and listen to nature, watch the stars, and sit around a campfire. So basically I love being in nature. I also enjoy building and launching model rockets and hope to graduate to bigger and better rockets (in other words I am going into Aerospace Engineering). As a form of excersice I endure running...mostly. I am currently serving in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission (Land of the Chosen Frozen!) and love teaching the Gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but that is not why I'm a Mormon. I'm not a Mormon because an angel came and told me this was the right church or had any other big profound spiritual experiences. And I'm not Mormon because I'm lazy and just haven't explored any other church either. I'm a Mormon because throughout my life as I have grown up in the church I have had many (more than can possibly be counted) small spiritual experiences that have slowly but surely strengthened my testimony and I have come to know that this church is true through praying to my Father in heaven, reading from the scriptures, and applying what I learn.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by teaching the people of Minnesota about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it can change your life in more ways than you can imagine. Before my mission during my Senior year of high school, I helped with what is called 'Special Needs Mutual'. In the LDS church there is a youth activity night each week and we call it hMutual, so Special Needs Mutual is basically the same, but there is no age limit. Because it is designed for people with special needs the activities are often more simple and each person has a 'friend', or helper, assigned to them. It really is a lot of fun and a blessing to serve in the church.
