Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a jazz drummer. I am passionate about people. I love Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second of 7 children, so I grew up amidst chaos. I can speed change diapers. I am married as of 2015, and love my wife dearly. I study advertising, and have a strong interest in visual arts, and performance. I gave up skateboarding early, but I still roller skate at the disco. The high waisted navy blues, and the striped button up, that's me.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Christ helps me progress, and provides me with a constancy in a world of fluctuation. So often do I hear contending voices telling me how to think, how to worship, where to live, what to do, who to be, what to say, and I find that the Church lets me do the things that I truly want to do, while providing me principles of solidity on which to build my life. Perhaps I may change a great part of my life, but I know that the gospel will not change, it is the great constant. I have a God that lives, but I can't have a God that changes, for I need an anchor, and He provides that stronghold for me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by attending to the smallest aspects of my life. I want to be whole with integrity. If I say I do not steal, I don't want to steal even a penny's worth; if I claim not to lie, then I don't want to do it even for innocence; if I say that I will do something, I want to follow up. I'm not perfect, but I'm trying to be true to what I claim to be, for I find that to be the most valuable characteristic of any person.
