Hi I'm Sidney

I am a cyclist, outdoor enthusiast, and music lover from Utah and and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love cycling. On the road, or on the mountain, doesn't matter. It is a passion of mine. I absolutely adore traveling and meeting new people. It doesn't matter where or how far, I love everywhere I am and everyone I come to meet. I have grown up in the church since I was sealed to my parents when I was a child. I was a college student but have since put my education on hold until I return from serving my full time mission in the New Hampshire, Manchester Mission. I love studying history, culture, and art. I love the outdoors and it doesn't matter what I am doing; hiking, repelling, rock climbing, bouldering, rafting, diving, snorkeling, Mountain biking or road biking, I love it all. ( Obviously, I would prefer to be on a bike, but still love the other experiences none the less;)) I love my family, from those that I am related to, to friends, to future friends I have yet had the chance to meet. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this gospel, I love knowing of a surety that Jesus Christ is my Savior and my redeemer. And through him, I can find peace and happiness in this life and rest and glory in eternity to come. Through Jesus Christ, my imperfections, my sadnesses, my heartaches will all be lifted up and I can be made whole. I grew up in this gospel, but my true conversion didn't happen until I was a teenager, when it became apparent that I had to choose for myself what path I wanted to take, I could no longer make do with doing through the motions. I had to be in, or out. I then had to decide where I wanted to end up, and who I wanted to become. After that the choice was clear. I want to be happy. This Church makes me happy. The knowledge that I can be with my family for eternity, makes me happy. I want to end up with them in heaven, forever. I want to be the me that God intended me to be. And through being a disciple of Christ in this restored gospel. And that is exactly who I am becoming by living and sharing this truth that is The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-Day Saints!

How I live my faith

I serve in my callings at church, I am a primary teacher for the sunbeams (3-4 year olds) I love teaching them about how much Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father loves them. Watching them grow and learn through the simple lessons each week fills my heart with joy and excitement! I am also an activity days leader for the 10-11 year old girls in my ward! Teaching them and having fun, service oriented, and Christ centered activities every other week is amazing! I love teaching them and preparing them to enter Young womens (youth group for 12 years and older), callings and the Temple. I strive to fill my life with service and the word of God. I study my scriptures, and other teachings of our prophets often, attend the temple weekly, and pray constantly. I am also getting ready to serve my mission that I will be reporting for on July 13th, 2016!
