Hi I'm (Boomer) Robert M. Beach

I grew up in Taylorsville Utah; I play Video Games, and sports occasionally. I also read comics/draw and play piano. I'm a Momon

About Me

I love to play video games and read manga. Right now I am serving a two year mission in the Virginia Chesapeake Mission. I am the youngest of 4 kids and had two parents who were both converts to the church. I like to play video games and sports occasionally, I also like to read manga and will occasionally draw. I especially love to listen to music, I have a lot of varieties that I listen too and don't really have a set genre that I claim as my favorite. I took choir in High School and believe with all my heart that music can conve feelings in ways that words just can't, music can touch your soul and I love that God loves to hear the voices of his children.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother passed away when I was almost at the end of my junior year in High school of Alzheimer. She had the disease for the space of 5 or so years, I wish she didn't have to go through that terrible disease that she did but I know why it had to be done. I have a lot of respect for my mom and love towards her when I was growing up, but I feel that I was actually on the fence on whether I believed in the church or not. Those 5 years that my mom had Alzheimer were tough, I was forced to pick my side of the fence. Was I with God or did I not believe that God exist, if God didn't exist then the world we live in is severally broken and messed up. But if God does exist then everything that we go through has a purpose, especially seeing those we love have to go through a messed up kind of disease like Alzheimer's.

How I live my faith

I believe that the best way to follow my faith is to live it. Our church is centered around Jesus Christ and the example he gave all of us to live by, to me that translates to doing my best to become like him; if your church doesn't require or ask you to do anything then how are you following the Savior's example. By following his commandments and serving others in any way, I know that I am getting closer to becoming as much like Christ as I can become. I don't believe that it is possible to work your way into heaven, but through practice on our part we can prepare to be worthy to receive some of the blessings of heaven while we are on this earth.
