Hi I'm Brittany

I'm a Mormon. I moved a lot, but "grew up" in Washington State. I'm preparing to serve a full-time mission in Omaha, Nebraska.

About Me

I am the oldest of 4 girls. My family and I moved quite a bit while I was growing up. From Georgia to Tennessee to Washington to Utah. I love to sing, play guitar, enjoy the great outdoors, and also love watching my favorite movie "You've Got Mail." Ireceny finished my first semester at Brigham Young University-Idaho and decided that I needed to serve a full-time mission for the Latter-day Saint Church. I'm now preparing to enter the mission field July 2016.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My dad was a convert, and my mother was raised in the gospel. They were married for eternity in the Atlanta, Georgia Temple and a year later they had me. I've never struggled knowing that God loves me and that Jesus Christ suffered through the ultimate sacrifice so I could be forgiven of my sins and return to live with God again. I knew this from a young age, or at least I thought I did. Almost two years ago my good friend Hannah pasted away in a car accident. The accident wasn't her fault, she slipped on some ice on her way to work. After loosing control of the vehicle she turned into on-coming traffic and was hit by a truck. She died instantly. This was the most painful thing I have yet to experience. Hannah was a senior in High School with her whole life ahead of her. She was a genuinely happy person who loved everyone. It didn't seem fair that she was taken away from her friends, family, and future life of amazing experiences. Nights after the accident Hannah's best friend who was one of my best friends snapped. She ran outside punched the wall and said, "Why did this have to happen to her?" As I looked at this girl whose pain and sorrow was more than I can describe with words, I unintentionally began to bare my testimony to her about God's eternal plan. How God loves us all so much that he gave His only begotten son so we could all have the opportunity to be with our families, and friends again. But ultimately, so we could return to His presence again. While sharing my testimony I felt the love God had for me, my friend, Hannah and her family. The spirit was confirming what I was sharing with my friend was true it was a confirmation of my testimony as well, it was an amazing exeperience that really had a profound impact on my personal testimony of Gods eternal plan for each of us. I'm a Mormon because I know that God loves all His children, no matter how hard life gets or how far from the path we might stray, He still loves us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to find every day opportunities to share what I know to be true with others. I live my faith by teaching a Sunday school class of 7-8 yr. olds every week.
