Hi I'm Max Johnson

I was born in Texas, I am an Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Max Johnson. I have been called to be a missionary in the Cordoba Argentina mission! I am a huge Utah State University fan and I want to go there after my mission. I love to go 4-wheeling, camping, and snowmobiling and I have also found a new hobby in snowboarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was born and raised in a Mormon family, and often times I have wondered what would have happened if I was not raised the way I was. I don't know what would have happened, but the more I think about it, the more I am so glad God put me where he did! I had one experience while I was living in Canada that really tried my faith, but ended up giving me a better testimony of my Savior. I had just come home from school. I was a quite depressed because I had been teased a lot of the day about being Mormon. They all though it was stupid that I believed in something I could not see. And I was beginning to feel that way too. The more I thought about it, the more I rationalized that God probably wasn't there. That if He was there, why would He - the greatest of them all and the creator of the universe - care about me. As I walked up stairs into my room, I remembered that there is one sure way to know if He exists. As I knelt down to pray, doubts flooded my mind. I could scarcely think about what would happen if he didn't answer me. But I pressed onward, and asked God if he was there. The weirdest thing happened then. At first I felt nothing. There was no confirmation or Holy Spirit that engulfed my soul and instead there was complete silence. Then I heard/thought the words "Max, you already know that I exist and that I love you." Even today, the words "Max, you already know" give me an extremely strong testimony. I KNOW that my Savior and Redeemer died for me and took upon my sins so I could live with him today. I KNOW that I can be with my family forever even after death. And I KNOW that this church is true. The principles and truths that this church teaches has helped me even today. I love my Family. I love my Country. And I love my God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others. I enjoy serving others and helping them feel good about themselves. I think that everybody has good traits, even though some times they are hard to find.
