Hi I'm Tali

I am a full-blood Samoan. I am going on my mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being born and raised here on a beautiful Pacific island, I live a simple life. I don't want or ask for much because even if I don't have much, I am grateful for what I have. Growing up as the oldest of my siblings, I always strive to be the best I can be to be an example to them. Education was highly important to me so I did very well in school. In fact, I had just graduated with my degrees from college. I love music. I sing, dance, choreograph, and play the piano often. I love watching and playing football, basketball, and volleyball. I love eating and sleeping as well. My most favorite things to do are spending time with my family and friends and reading my scriptures daily.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I were strong Methodists whom never missed church on Sundays. Suddenly, we had to move to a new location due to some family issues and we went and stayed with my uncle and aunt until we got a house of our own. My uncle and aunt were members of the church and they contacted the missionaries to come and share us the gospel. So then the missionraies came to our home often and their smiling faces was always a beautiful sight. When they taught us about the gospel, they had that look of cofidence and firmness in their belief that made me curious. I got interested as to why they seemed happy about their church. Then they challenged me to read the scriptures and pray, which were the two things I have never done before in my life before that time. My life changed then. The very first time I prayed, I cried as I was overwhelmed by the Spirit to know that the things the missionaries were teaching us were true. I then got baptized and became a member of this church. Since that time until now, the Lord's blessings to me and family were so great and the happiness I've felt is undescribaple. Each day as I live, I learn more and more about this gosple and the essential truths of our Lord. I had just received my calling to serve as a full-time missionary and I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for such a wonderful opportunity and blessing. I know God lives. He knows and loves each one of us individually. I know that Jesus is the Savior of the world and through his atoning sacrifice, I am able to return back to my Heavenly Father. I know that this is the true gospel of our Lord for it has blessed me continuously. I know that there is a living prophet who leads us in these latter days. I know the scriptures are true and they are a great guide to everyday life along with prayer. I love this gospel and its teachings. I love my Heavenly Father. I love my family. I now testify these things to be true in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I teach Sunday lesson to youth and young sigle adults. I play the piano at church and conduct when in need of a chorister. I am a part of a committee that organizes and conducts activities for the youth. some activities I had helped organize was a clean-up within or own community, summer camp, testimonial services, traditional performance for the local flag day celebration, and so much more. I also happen to be a ward missionary and so I go out a lot for rescue visits teaching and helping whenever and wherever it is needed.
