Hi I'm Nick

I live in Utah. I debate and play piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an 18 year old recent high school graduate. I enjoy playing piano, and I took fourth place at a piano competition last year. I especially love the music of Chopin. I also enjoy high school debate. This year, I competed in a partner debate event, and was able to take first, second, and third at a number of tournaments. I also had the opportunity to serve as a student body officer, and helped plan a talent show and homecoming week.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but that's not why I've stayed. I find that whenever I am reading scriptures, praying, or going to church, I feel happy and at peace. The standards and rules we have in the church have kept me out of trouble that I wouldn't have seen without the church. More than this, however, I have come to know that the church is true. I know I will receive countless blessings in this life and the life to come if I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know that He is the only way we can truly be happy.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve as a leader for several church youth groups through my teenage years. I've also had the responsibility to visit the homes of several ward members monthly to teach and talk with them. Beyond specific assignments, I have striven through my life to read scriptures and pray daily. I try to be a good example to my everyone. This March, I received a call to serve a mission in Sierra Leone. I will leave my home behind for 2 years starting this August to teach others about my faith.
