Hi I'm Samuel

I was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five kids, and have recently graduated high school. I love being around people, most of all my family and friends. I love challenging myself and being a leader. I like to spend my time playing basketball, tennis, and the banjo. I read, spend a lot of time in the mountains, and playing video games. I started my own lawnmowing business. I love to dream big and just have fun. I want to become a successful entrepreneur, to provide jobs for others, and free my time for my family and serving others. But first, I have been called to serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My story is one of continuous conversion. I was born and raised to a strong family in the church. I can't say that my story is unique, but it is special to me. For as long as I can remember I have just always known the church is true. I've just known it. I did not see the heavens open and angels descend from above singing Hallelujah. My testimony has just been built on the little things, but yet it feels so huge. Every day I learn a little bit more, feel the spirit strong some days and others not as much, serve others, read my scriptures, pray, and to see how it has blessed the lives around me. I can feel the love of God and the unity of children as a part of his church. My testimony is simple and gives me so much strength, it means everything to me. I know the my Savior lives. Thanks to his atonement and sacrifice I can return to live with my Heavenly Father forever. This is not a life of sorrow and hatred, but one of love, hope, and happiness. Joseph Smith truly restored this gospel back to the earth for our time and for all time. The Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ and was restored by the power of God through the prophet Joseph. My joy in full in the truth that God loves us with all his heart, might, mind, and strength. Through his gospel, we can have eternal happiness. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve a mission. Dedicating two years of my life, all day every day, to teach others in a foreign land of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have spent time a lot of time home teaching with my dad, going out build relationships with families in our ward, give them an uplifting message, and to look out for way to help them. Up until now, I have spent a lot of time helping out in the community doing service projects and leading the youth in callings as one.
