Hi I'm Liesl

I grew up in Utah, I was baptized when I was 19 years old, I am preparing to serve in the Texas San Antonio Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music is a big part of who I am and how I express myself. I love to sing, play the guitar and listen to music. I enjoy being in the outdoors, especially in warm weather! I am a college student working on receiving a Master Esthetician license. I love spending time with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with good parents. They taught me valuable lessons and were strong in their faith. Although they did their best, I did not have a testimony of my own. I knew that I was missing something in my life. i grew up in Utah so I was familiar with the church and their teachings and deep down I always knew that is where I would be. I didnt know when or how or why but I knew I would be apart of it. It wasn't until I went to college and the missionaries knocked on my door. I also had a brother serving a mission at the time. Him and I were not close before he left but while he was gone he would write to me often and I felt his love for me and I admired him for serving the Lord and dedicating his life for his beliefs, I wanted to know more and I wanted to know for myself if the church was true. I had a difficult time accepting some things. I had a difficult time feeling like I was going against my parents beliefs but I could not deny the peace I had in my heart and the answers I found through prayer and study. I prayed earnestly to know if I should be baptized. I received my answer one night as I was reading out of the book of mormon. The answer was clear and I was so excited to take that next step. I was later baptized and received the holy ghost. Although my family did not completely agree they supported my choice and attended my baptism which was wonderful. It was a day I will always treasure. Since then I have been blessed with more than I could ever ask for. I have been able to learn so much more about Christ and His gospel, I have come to feel His love so strongly and have seen the power of the gospel work miracles and answer prayers. I love the gospel and my Savior, I want so badly to return and live with Him again. That is why I m a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the examples of Christ as best as I can. I will soon be serving an LDS Mission and by doing so I will be able to serve the Lord's children and share with them what is so special in my life which is the gospel. I live my faith by singing and creating music that has an uplifting message and a light spirit. I live my faith through service.
