Hi I'm Kathy

I am a mother of 6 and a grandmother of 14.

About Me

I am married with 6 children and 14 grandchildren. I have worked as a care giver and love taking care of people. I enjoy cooking and sewing along with other crafts. I attended BYU and love reading and learning. I returned to college after my children were grown and got a certificate in Phlebotomy. Now that I am retired I enjoy helping others and working on hobbies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who were Mormon. So I have always attended this church. But as a teenager I felt the need to learn for myself if this what I was being taught was true. As I studied and prayed I felt an overwhelming feeling of peace and comfort that what I was learning was true. I have found as I have followed the teachings of the church that i am given strength when times are hard as well as peace that all will be well. I know that the church brings me closer to God. This brings me great joy no matter what else may be happening around me.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are preparing to go on an 18 month mission to Sierra Leone in Africa. We are looking forward to this new adventure. I worked for over 20 years with the Boy Scouts of America as a Cub Leader to working as a District Leader. I love teaching children. I also love working with women. I have been the President of the women's organization of about 150 for the last 3 1/2 years. It was a great opportunity to get to know and help these wonderful women who I admire so much.
