Hi I'm Hannah

I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.

About Me

I am a college student majoring in Elementary Education because I love teaching children! It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to major in but when I decided to be a teacher everything just clicked. I love to help others and I love to teach, and I get to do that and more as an elementary school teacher. For fun, I love playing board games, watching movies, playing with my Golden Retriver, Bruce, and going on new adventures outdoors. Back in high school, some of what I love to do was cut back because of feet problems I started to have. Through high school and much of college I continued having these problems until I finally had reconstructive surgery on both of my feet. The healing process from my surgeries was long and hard but I was helped continually by my parents, friends, and doctors. I have finally come to the end of my long journey of healing and I am so happy and grateful to start doing more physical activities I haven't been able to do like running and working out.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the same church Christ established on the earth in His day. It has been restored again to the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith through the power of God. I have found as I continue to read the Book of Mormon and pray to God to know of its truth that I have found for myself that it is true. I have found for myself that the Book of Mormon was written for me and for you and that if you will read it and pray with an open heart that God will reveal the truth of it unto you as He did for me. The Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ and we can read it to learn how to become more like him through His teachings and the stories of His life. I have found peace and encouragement through the teachings of the Book of Mormon and I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

At church I have had the privilege to organize activity nights where other college students my age and I have spent time together playing games, eating dessert, and learning more about Christ and how we can serve one another to become more like Him and understand His love for all of His children. I have also had opportunities to teach church classes on Sunday and lead discussions centered on Christ and His teachings. I have loved each of these experiences because I have been able to learn more from others through their testimonies of Jesus Christ and the way they live their lives to become more like Him.
