Hi I'm Sandy

I'm a mom and a grandma. I love my family. I love family history. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in small towns in the western US, in a family of five children. I have always loved nature and being outdoors and spend a lot of time camping. I enjoy reading and learning. I graduated from college. After marriage I have traveled to about 35 states including AK and HI and have visited several foreign countries such as Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Belize, etc. as well as several in Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Croatia, England, etc.). Through the years I have become proficient in many crafts. I am married and we have three children and five grandchildren. My latest interest is family history and genealogy. I am presently compiling our family history in photos and through journaling.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned for myself through the Holy Spirit that Joseph Smith was a prophet; that he did see God, the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ that beautiful spring morning. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that its teachings will help us come closer to our Heavenly Father. I know the Gospel has been restored in its fullness, with living prophets and apostles to guide us today. I know that God lives, that Jesus Christ is His Son. I know that Jesus atoned and died for me personally as well as for everyone. I know that He lives and He is my Savior. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the blessings, joy, and peace it brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I have had a multitude of opportunities to serve in the church. I have served in children's, youth, and women's organizations -- teaching gospel messages through lessons and music. I have also been responsible for organizing programs, service projects, and other activities. The main thing I do to live my faith is to study the word of God in the scriptures and to develop a close relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior, the Lord, Jesus Christ. I try to be kind and to obey the commandments and to serve others.
