Hi I'm Summer

I've lived all over the U.S. I love all animals. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old and I'm the only Mormon in my family. I have been a member of the church since December 2014. I love sports, especially swimming and track. At some point, I would like to open a rescue for all animals.

Why I am a Mormon

I went to a family reunion with a friend of mine. While I was there, I noticed that his family all seemed to share a joy and a love for one another. It was infectious and I was dying to know more. I asked about it and they were very open with their religion and I knew that I wanted to join the church. The feeling I had in my heart was indescribable.

How I live my faith

I am currently preparing to serve a mission. I will be serving in California and I couldn't be more excited!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Good question! Mormons are not required to serve a mission, however it is strongly encouraged. Missionaries are not paid for their services. Missionaries can go out between 18 and 19 years old. Female missionaries, called Sisters, serve generally for a period of 18 months. Male missionaries, called Elders, serve generally for a period of 24 months. This is not required and is viewed as a privilege to be able to serve The Lord and His Church. This is also done as a show of our love for others. We want all people to be able to return to Our Heavenly Father and believe it is our duty to help our fellow brothers and sisters get there. Show more Show less
