Hi I'm Trey

I love the outdoors. I love music. I play the clarinet, didgeridoo, and guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old. I love to spend time with my family. I love music. I play the clarinet and have for 8 years. I love to create music and improve my abilities, and I love to play with different groups. I taught myself how to play the didgeridoo after visiting Australia last year. I also have been teaching myself to play the guitar over the past few months. I love the outdoors. I love to go fishing, backpacking, and hiking. My favorite place to go is Yellowstone. The best trip I ever took was a four day canoeing trip to Shoshone Lake with my dad. I love math and science, especially calculus and physics. I love to be challenged to explore how things work. I am an extra class amateur radio operator, and I have competed in science fairs with projects involving building and testing antennas. I use ham radio all the time and love the opportunities it gives me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in a family that has always been centered around the gospel. At a young age, I chose to read the Book of Mormon to learn for myself of the truth. I read that book and I prayed to know the truth, and I received my answer. The spirit made it known to me that the words in that book were true, and Joseph Smith was a true prophet that translated those words. I know that the gospel is true, and that it will lead to eternal happiness. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer, and that it is through him and his atonement that I can live with my Father in Heaven again. I know this is his restored gospel, and I strive to live it, and I love it.

How I live my faith

I lead the music in church every week. I love the opportunity to help bring people together to worship the lord through music. I home teach two families, and I love getting to know them better and having the chance to serve them. I am going to serve a mission in Poland, and I study the language weekly to prepare to be able to teach the gospel there. I read from the scriptures and the words of the prophets daily to help guide me in making my decisions. Most of all, I always strive to be the best I can be. I know that I can always be better, which keeps me working hard to be a better friend to those around me, and to serve others.
