Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Utah. I'm retired and enjoy tennis, gardening, and family activities. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the third of thirteen children. I grew up in Utah. I served a mission in Mexico and, after starting a family and completing graduate school in Utah, returned to teach biomedical engineering at a university in Mexico City. I spent most of my working career back in Utah developing and manufacturing medical devices. I have a wonderful family. My hobbies include gardening, tennis, and reading. My wife and I enjoy volunteer work.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were great examples and taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ and the principles of the restoration as espoused by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As I served as a missionary for the church in Mexico for 2 years, my faith grew and I observed that the gospel can change lives. Many experiences over the years have continued to build my faith in Jesus Christ and the in the principles of the gospel as practiced in the LDS church. I am a Mormon because I believe in the basic tenets of the gospel and have found that they work well for me and my family. I hope to always to be a good example to my children, grandchildren, and others around me and serve others to the best of my abilities.

How I live my faith

I have a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ. I have always enjoyed participating in church activities and helping others. This help includes serving in different callings in the local church unit and visiting local ward members as a home teacher. My wife and I were privileged to serve for 2 years in the Nauvoo Temple in rural Illinois. We also enjoy doing volunteer work in the community. We taught reading for two years at the local elementary school and have done volunteer work for the county agricultural extension service.
