Hi I'm Jonathan Bell
I grew up in a small cow-town in the middle of Washington, USA. I love science, maths, and truth. And I'm a Mormon
About Me
Young, tall, and a generally nice person. wood working, boat building, and merry trouble making (but clean). Has a voracious appetite for long, strange, and distinct words , but is cursed with poor spelling. Rather accepting of most people.
Why I am a Mormon
Hmm... well. I am a Mormon because the church and the gospel are true, and not because of social pressure or family presence. That is definitive. Why not any other religion? Because when |I have looked at different ones, they all seemed to either try to blur concepts into one consecutive mush, or the had a depressing view of my life, or condemned others for not knowing good from evil, or right from wrong. If there was a god, he would love us, and thus he would be just, and he would also be merciful. And through learning about and through the Mormon church, I answered those questions that I had. No one else could, and the feelings that I felt while studying rocked my soul. To deny that would be to deny myself. And that, ladies and gents, is why I'm a Mormon.
How I live my faith
I was rather tepid in my faith and values, until recently. I have been family history consultant and served in a series of youth leadership positions, as well as serving a proselyting mission for the church currently. Those are fine examples of how I have served in the church, but as to how I live my faith? ~ I live it through looking for those that are in need. I live it through standing up for the unprotected. I live it by taking abuse from those that don't understand. I live it by trying to understand. I live it by loving unconditionaly.
