Hi I'm Taitlin Dransfield

I grew up in Utah. I'm the oldest of seven kids. I enjoy running and being outside. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Taitlin and I've successfully completed my first year of college and if I'm not working or studying then I spend my free time outside or with my family. I'm an avid lover of rock climbing, running, hiking, kayaking, and traveling. Over the past two years I've had the opportunity to travel across the United States, from Florida to Washington, and even down to Peru in South America for a few weeks of humanitarian work. I love sitting at home with family or friends and can be found happily reading Harry Potter, eating tasty food, or wishing for warm weather and ice cream cones.

Why I am a Mormon

I've was born and raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and throughout my life my testimony has continued to be strengthened through the lives and testimonies of others. I choose to attend church regularly and follow Heavenly Father's commandments because I get great joy from living God's standards. It's not always easy, and my path in life is often full of temptations and trials, but through the words of living prophets and the scriptures I can be guided and strengthened to overcome anything! I have a testimony that this is Christ's true church on the earth today and that the gospel was restored by Joseph Smith who was a true prophet. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and the temple is the House of the Lord. I know we can go there for peace and understanding and that we will always feel the love of God through the Holy Ghost when we are following in Christ's footsteps. If we do our best, we will one day live with God again and be able to spend eternity with our families and loved ones. I love this gospel with all my heart and nothing makes me happier! I'm a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping out with church callings such as visiting teaching and planning church activities for women. I also love attending church events, especially when free food is involved! I get satisfaction from organizing and gathering groups of people to visit the temple or visit other friends in need of a friendly hello or a plate of tasty treats! I've been called to serve in McAllen, Texas and will be serving and teaching others about Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, and other important topics related to this gospel.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Taitlin Dransfield
Not all Mormons are required to serve a mission. Young men beginning at the age of 18 are encouraged and asked to serve a full-time mission for 2 years and young women are invited to beginning at 19 years old for 18 months. Missions are voluntary and missionaries are called to serve anywhere in the world that they are assigned. While serving full-time, missionaries are official representatives of the Christ and His Church. Show more Show less
